R-gen® 7W
1. Introduction
R-gen® 7W is a photoinitiator designed specially for water-borne and pigmented UV system. Its photospeed is as fast as
Chivacure® 107, a commonly used photoinitiator for pigmented UV systems, because their structures are resemble to
each other except the two hydroxy tails in R-gen® 7W. These two hydroxy tails boosts R-gen 7W®'s hydrophilicity and
allowed it to suspend in water.

7. Application
R-gen® 7W is recommended to be dissolved in alcoholic solvents prior to mixing. Due to its strong absorption (ε= 17,300
at 257 nm), R-gen® 7W is very efficient for both clear and pigmented systems; 0.5% of R-gen® 7W is recommended for
clear systems and 3-6% is suggested for pigmented systems.
R-gen® 7W is ideal for water-borne inject, water-borne solder-mask, and water-borne wood lacquer.
