产品详细信息
Carl Zeiss can also develop and produce gratings in accordance with customer-specific guidelines. Gratings can be supplied as mechanically ruled or holographic gratings and on flat or curved supports.
The following information is required for customized specifications. We have listed the most important parameters in our questionnaire, which you can download here. This will help us to select or calculate the appropriate grating for you. Should you not be able to answer all of these questions, we will gladly assist you.

Questionnaire
1. The first key point for us in selecting your grating is the field of application.
Please tell us where you intend to use the grating.
The more you can tell us about your application, the more precisely our specialists can find the appropriate grating.
2. We also need to know which type of grating surface you would like.
flat
concave
convex
Flat and concave grating surfaces are preferred for monochromator and Rowland applications.
Convex or concave grating surfaces are used for polychromator applications.
3. Please tell us the expected size of the light spot on the grating.
Length
Width
Diameter
4. The angle of incidence is also important.
This information is important for the size of the grating surface and the calculation of the grating efficiency.
5. Or do you already know what size grating you need?
Length
Width
Diameter
Size of the grating = apportioned surface + edge
6. Do you work with polarized or non-polarized light?
Polarized
Non-polarized
7. Groove density or resolution
Groove density ……………….L/mm
Resolution …………………nm
The groove density determines the resolving power depending on the spectral range. Low groove densities and larger wavelength ranges stand for moderate resolving power.
High groove densities and limited wavelength ranges result in high resolving power.
8. What are your stray light requirements?
Stray light is important for the signal-to-noise ratio.
9. What flatness of the diffracted wavefront do you require?
10. Diffraction efficiency – Do you have specific requirements on the diffraction efficiency in a certain wavelength range?
………………….% ……………………..nm
11. Reflective coating
Aluminum
Gold
Silber
We recommend an aluminum coating for large UV NIR wavelength ranges. For applications primarily in the near IR from 780 nm, a reflective coating made of gold could improve the diffraction efficiency by several percent. Silver is recommended for applications primarily in the visible wavelength ranges.
12. Protective coating – Are you thinking about applying a protective coating?
