Control Rod Drive Mechanisms (CRDMs) are utilized to control the level of activity in the reactor core. EMD has over 45 years of design and manufacturing experience with CRDMs. There are more than 5,000 CRDMs operating in 88 plants worldwide that we designed and manufactured.
