Comments: The FHMFHM细胞 (Fat Head Minnow) line of epithelial cells was derived from tissue posterior to the anus, exclusive of the caudal fin, of normal ***** minnows of both sexes by M. Gravell and R.G. Malsberger, in April, 1962. [22174]
The cells multiply over a wide range of temperatures (0 to 36C) with optimal growth between 28C and 34C.
Propagation: ATCC complete growth medium: Minimum essential medium (Eagle) in Hanks' BSS, 90%; fetal bovine serum, 10%

Subculturing: Protocol: Remove old medium, add fresh 0.25% trypsin solution, rinse and remove. Add 1 to 2ml of trypsin solution, allow the flask to sit at room temperature until the cells detach. FHM细胞Add fresh medium, aspirate and dispense into new flasks.
Subcultivation Ratio: A subcultivation ratio of 1:2 to 1:3 is recommended
