HCC1428 BL细胞Applications: HCC1428 was derived from a female who harbored a homozygous deletion in the FHIT gene.
Gender: female
Ethnicity: Caucasian, White
Comments: HCC1428 BL is a B lymphoblastoid cell line initiated by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) transformation of peripheral blood lymphocytes obtained from the same patient as the breast carcinoma cell line HCC1428.
HCC1428 was derived from a female who harbored a homozygous deletion in the FHIT gene. The FHIT gene, which spans the FRA3B fragile site at chromosome 3p14.2, is a candidate tumor suppressor gene in breast and other cancers. [32258]
The homozygous deletion in the FHIT gene is retained in the lymphoblastoid line.
There is a familial history of breast cancer (maternal grandmother).
HCC1428, a metastatic breast adenocarcinoma cell line, is available as ATCC CRL-2327.
Propagation: ATCC complete growth medium: The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated RPMI-1640 Medium, Catalog No. 30-2001. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
Atmosphere: air, 95%; carbon dioxide (CO2), 5%
Temperature: 37.0°C
Subculturing: Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension in fresh medium at 5 X 10(5) viable cells/ml.
Interval: Maintain cultures at cell concentrations between 5 X 10(5) and 1.5 X 10(6) viable cells/ml.
Medium Renewal: HCC1428 BL细胞Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density)
Preservation: Freeze medium: Complete growth medium supplemented with 5% (v/v) DMSO
Storage temperature: liquid nitrogen vapor phase
Related Products: Recommended medium (without the additional supplements or serum described under ATCC Medium):ATCC 30-2001
recommended serum:ATCC 30-2020
derived from same individual:ATCC CRL-2327
