Isolation: Isolation date: 1986
Comments: Animals were immunized against TC31, a NMRI strain mouse IgM, kappa monoclonal antibody of the IgMa allotype.
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells.
The antibody recognizes the Igh-6.1 allotype on mouse IgM.
It reacts with the IgMa but not the IgMb determinant localized to the CH1 domain of the mu heavy chain. [40006]
DS1 antibody reacts with cells bearing the a,c,f,g,h and j Igh-C haplotypes.
DS1细胞This antibody can be used as a typing reagent for mouse IgM of the a,c,f,g,h and j haplotypes. It is useful in typing immunoglobulin transgenic mice in which the IgM locus is involved.

Subculturing: Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension in fresh medium at 4 to 5 X 10(5) viable cells/ml. Do not allow the cell concentration to exceed 1 X 10(6) cells/ml.
Interval: Maintain cultures at cell concentrations between 5 X 10(5) and 1 X 10(6) viable cells/ml.
Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density)
Preservation: Freeze medium: Complete growth medium supplemented with 5% (v/v) DMSO
