Comments: Mice were immunized with fraction VIII human DNA polymerase alpha.

Spleen cells were fused with NS-1 myeloma cells.
The antibody neutralizes polymerase alpha activity, and reacts with polymerases from several species.
The cells need to be in culture for 6 to 7 days before antibody production is detectable.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).

Propagation: SJK-132-20细胞ATCC complete growth medium: The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
Subculturing: Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
Cultures are maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start new cultures at 1 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml and maintain at or below 1 X 10 exp6 cells/ml.
