Description
The ViPrimePLUS Pasteurella multocida qPCR Kit is a Taqman probe-based real-time PCR assay for the detection of Pasteurella multocida genome in clinical samples from the upper respiratory tract of livestocks, poultry and domestic pet species.
Pasteurella multocida is a Gram negative coccobacillus that is often found in the nasopharynx and upper respiratory tract of livestocks, poultry and domestics pet species such as dogs and cats. Human infection usually occurs after animal bites which causes soft tissue infections or after inhalation of contaminated secretion that may result in pneumonia. In veterinary, it is responsible for fowl cholera in chicken and turkey, bovine respiratory disease and haemorrhagic septicemia in cattle, and atrophic rhinitis in pigs. Infection is more prevalent in rainy season and humid condition.
ViPrimePLUS Pasteurella multocida qPCR Kit is intended for research use only.
