The rugged FERITSCOPE®FMP30 with plug-in type smart probe is suited for fast,non-destructive and accurate measurement of ferrite content on-siteor in the lab according to the magnetic inductive method. The measurement range is from 0.1 to 80 % Fe or from 0.1 to 110FN. The measurement options are either measurable inFerrit-percentage %Fe or in Ferrit numbers FN. Applications Measurement of the ferrite content in   austenitic steel welds (of tubing etc.) normal construction steel with austenitic chrome alloy steelwelded cladding (e.g., in boilers, vessels, etc.) duplex steel. This easy-to-use instrument has an USB interface for a PC andprinter connection. It offers memory for up to 20000 measurementswith up to 100 applications. Further a detailed statistical andgraphical evaluation is possible.

The calibration of theFERITSCOPE® FMP30 is traceable to internationallyapproved IIW secondary calibration standards. The instrumenttherefore meets all requirements of ANSI/AWS A4.2 and DIN EN ISO8249 as well as of the "Basler" standard. The picture shows one of the 3 sets of available calibrationstandards with certificate for different Ferrite-Numberranges.

FERITSCOPE^®FMP30对于奥氏体钢，在焊接部位的铁素体含量是工件材料机械强度和抗蚀能力的重要指标。焊接部位铁素体含量太少有可能产生高温断裂，含量太多则会降低机械强度和抗蚀能力。对与双联钢，焊接部位铁素体含量太少，会导致在压力和振动下产生裂纹的可能性大大增加。
