Used separately or as cocktails. All protease inhibitors in the set are also available individually. The effectiveness of protease inhibition can be quickly and sensitively verified with the Universal Protease Substrate (casein, resorufin-labeled).

Specificity:
Antipain: papain, trypsin, cathepsin A and B
Bestatin: amino peptidases
Chymostatin: α-, β-, γ, δ-chymotrypsin
E-64: cysteine proteases
Leupeptin: serine and cysteine proteases, such as plasmin, trypsin, papain, and cathepsin B
Pepstatin: aspartate proteases
Phosphoramidon: metallo-endopeptidases, specifically thermo-lysine
Pefabloc SC: serine proteases
EDTA: metalloproteases
Aprotinin: serine proteases
Suggested starting concentration:
Antipain: 50 µg/ml (74 µM)
Bestatin: 40 µg/ml (130 µM)
Chymostatin: 6 - 60 µg/ml (10 - 100 µM)
E-64: 0.5 - 10 µg/ml (1.4 - 28.0 µM)
Leupeptin:  0.5 µg/ml (1 µM)
Pepstatin: 0.7 µg/ml (1 µM)
Phosphoramidon: 4 - 330 µg/ml (7 - 600 nM)
Pefabloc SC: 0.1 - 1 mg/ml (0.4 - 4 mM
EDTA: 0.2 - 0.5 mg/ml (0.5 - 1.3 mM)
Aprotinin: 0.06 - 2 µg/ml (0.01 - 0.3 µM)
