The Anritsu MP1520B is an error measuring instrument for 2, 8, 34, and 139 Mb/s digital transmission systems. This instrument can generate and receive pseudo-random patterns with frames which approximate to line traffic signals. In addition, it has the following features and capabilities: an input/output level conforming to ITU-T G.703, measurements recording by an internal memory, and built-in printer, graphic display, and error analysis for ITU-T G.821, G.826, and M.2100.
This instrument is particularly suitable for system testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting. In addition, the Mux/Demux option can be attached to perform N x 64 kb/s and multiplexer/demultiplexer measurements and measurements between different hierarchies. The jitter generation/measurement option can be used to measure jitter tolerance, output jitter and jitter transfer.
The MP1520B is suitable for evaluating installed systems, for maintenance measurements, and for in-service monitoring. It is compact, lightweight, and easy to operate.
