The purpose of the incline plan testing is to place an apparatus - the sample - on a horizontal platform and to turn the platform into different angles - normally for testing in the range from 0 to 15 degrees

IEC standards specifies some different angles to used for different standards - read the standard

2. Angles are set by a mechanical lift and by a digital angle gauge
