Answer: I confirm that the PPA5511 has all the same measurement functions as the PPA5510 so it can certainly be used as a general power analyzer. The only differences are the shunt impedance and the hardware filter frequency. As you can imagine, the higher shunt impedance and the higher filter frequency of the PPA5510 gives the standard unit greater current measurement sensitivity and wider filtered bandwidth and that is why I recommended this version for general purpose use but both units can be used for all applications.
