The Zoom 70XL is a 7:1 zoom system whose core magnification varies from 0.75 to 5.25 with accompanying numerical apertures of 0.024 to 0.08.
The majority of the product line is modular with a wide variety of combinations available. A second series is non-modular and is specified when both motorized zoom and focus is desired.
As with most Thales Optem zoom systems, the final working system must contain an upper and lower module (except in the case of the non-modular version), and a TV Tube to support the camera and to focus the image at the camera sensor. Optional lower Auxiliary Lenses for varying working distances and field coverage, increase flexibility as do a number of illumination choices.
Zoom drive options are manual, detented for calibrated repeatability, DC motorized, and Stepper motorized with homing sensors and RS232 capability.
