ACME插销螺套主要用于螺纹快速修复，ACME插销螺套可以修复损坏与磨损的螺丝孔内螺纹，在机械产品的生产装配时，也可以安装ACME插销螺套，使产品螺丝孔的强度得到增强，避免螺丝孔的内螺纹受到损坏。（Acme keylocking threaded inserts are used to quickly repair stripped, damaged or worn out threads. Threaded insert products are also used in original equipment where they strengthen threads in soft metal like magnesium or aluminum.）

ACME插销螺套很容易安装与拆卸，安装或拆卸插销螺套不需要经过专业的培训：使用专用丝锥攻牙，然后安装插销螺套，*后把插销键压入螺丝孔。（Acme threaded inserts are easy to install and remove. No specialty drills, taps or pre-winder tools are required. The keys are driven down into the threads of the surrounding base material, locking the insert in place.）
