Organism | Mouse |
Accession # | P20263 |
Alias | Pou5f1, Oct-3, Oct-4, Otf-3, Otf3 |
Protein Type | Wild Type |
Protein Family | Belongs to the POU transcription factor family. Class-5 subfamily. |
Functions | Transcription factor that binds to the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3'). Forms a trimeric complex with SOX2 on DNA and controls the expression of a number of genes involved in embryonic development such as YES1, FGF4, UTF1 and ZFP206. Critical for early embryogenesis and for embryonic stem cell pluripotency. The product can be used in combination with other iPSC factor for the induction of iPSC reprogramming. |
Cell Types | Expressed the totipotent and pluripotent stem cells of the pregastrulation embryo. |
Protein Location | Nucleus |
Gene Type | cDNA |
Purification | By Ion-Exchange column. |
Quality Control | By sequencing and Western blot analysis of transgene expression in transduced cells. Functional test includes iPSC reprogramming. |
Titer | >1x106pfu/mL |
Storage | 10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0 |
Shipping | High titer adenoviruses are shipped with dry ice and low titer adenoviruses are shipped with ice packs. For long term storage, it is recommended to store the viruses at -80°C in small aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
Notes | For Research Use Only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic purposes. |
