Description | Human Primary Osteoblasts are mainly responsible for bone formation and remodeling. Osteoblasts are derived from human femoral bone tissue and can be mineralized using using abm's Osteoblast Mineralization Medium (TM009).These osteoblasts are an useful in vitro cellular model for investigating the effects of inflammatory mediators and bone morphogenic proteins, bone remodeling and regulation of bone metabolism. |

Propagation | Use of PriCoat™ T25 Flasks (G299) or . Applied Cell Extracellular Matrix (G422) is required for cell adhesion to the culture vessels. Grow cells in ECM-coated culture vessels with the following conditions. The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow IV medium available in abm, Cat. No. TM004. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum (TM999) to a final concentration of 10% and Penicillin/Streptomycin(G255). Atmosphere: air, 95%; Carbon dioxide (CO2), 5%.
For mineralization of osteoblasts, use abm's Osteoblast Mineralization Medium (TM009) and follow the differentiation protocol provided below. |
