| Description | The K07074 Cells are obtained from the liver tumor cells of a male CBA mouse. The cells exhibit a biliary phenotype, form colonies in soft agar, and display an increase in Hedgehog, Notch and Akt signalling. The growth of K07074 Cells is strongly inhibited with the inhibition of Akt and Notch pathways. These cells are of importance in cancer research as they could be used as a model system for testing the effect of novel chemotherapeutic agents that target the pathways deregulated in liver tumors. |

| Propagation | The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow V medium available from abm(TM015). To make the completed growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: Fetal Bovine Serum (TM999) to final concentration of 10% and 1% Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255). Atmosphere: air: 95%, CO₂: 5%; Temperature: 37.0°C. |
