ASTM C293 This test method covers determination of the flexural strength of concrete specimens by the use of a simple beam with center-point loading. It is not an alternative to Test Method C78.
ASTM C297 This test method covers the determination of the core flatwise tension strength, or the bond between core and facings of an assembled sandwich panel. The test consists of subjecting a sandwich construction to a tensile load normal to the plane of the sandwich, such load being transmitted to the sandwich through thick loading blocks bonded to the sandwich facings or directly to the core.

ASTM C39 This test method covers determination of compressive strength of cylindrical concrete specimens such as molded cylinders and drilled cores. It is limited to concrete having a unit weight in excess of 50 lb/ft3 [800 kg/m3].
ASTM C393 This test method covers determination of the properties of flat sandwich constructions subjected to flatwise flexure in such a manner that the applied moments produce curvature of the sandwich facing planes.
ASTM C425 This specification covers materials and test requirements for compression joints for vitrified clay pipe and fittings. See Specification C 700 for pipe specifications. The test requirements are applicable to pipe joint assemblies prior to field installation of pipe.
ASTM C480 This test method covers the determination of the creep characteristics and creep rate of sandwich constructions loaded in flexure, at any desired temperature.
ASTM C482 This test method covers the determination of the ability of glazed ceramic wall tile, ceramic mosaic tile, quarry tile, and pavers to be bonded to portland cement. This test method includes both face-mounted and back-mounted tile.
ASTM C495 This test method covers the preparation of specimens and the determination of the compressive strength of lightweight insulating concrete having an oven-dry weight not exceeding 50 lb/ft (800 kg/m ) as determined by the procedures described herein.
ASTM C579 These test methods cover the determination of the compressive strength of chemical-resistant mortars, grouts, monolithic surfacings, and polymer concretes. These materials may be based on resin, silicate, silica, or sulfur binders.
ASTM C580 This test method covers the determination of flexural strength and modulus of elasticity in flexure of cured chemical-resistant materials in the form of molded rectangular beams. These materials include mortars, brick and tile grouts, structural grouts, machinery grouts, monolithic surfacings (60 mils or greater), and polymer concretes. These materials shall be based on resin, silicate, silica, or sulfur binders.
ASTM C684 This test method covers four procedures for making, curing, and testing specimens of concrete stored under conditions intended to accelerate the development of strength. The four procedures are: Procedure A-Warm Water Method, Procedure B-Boiling Water Method, Procedure C-Autogenous Curing Method, and Procedure D-High Temperature and Pressure Method.
ASTM C686 This test method covers evaluation of strength in tension on mineral fiber batt- and blanket-type insulation products. It is useful for determining the comparative tensile properties of these products, specimens of which cannot be held by the more conventional clamp-type grips. This is a quality control method, and the results should not be used for design purposes. It is not normally used for board-type products.
ASTM C78 This test method covers the determination of the flexural strength of concrete by the use of a simple beam with third-point loading.
ASTM C882 This test method covers the determination of the bond strength of epoxy-resin-base bonding systems for use with portland-cement concrete. This test method covers bonding hardened concrete to hardened or freshly-mixed concrete.
ASTM C900 This test method covers determination of the pullout strength of hardened concrete by measuring the force required to pull an embedded metal insert and the attached concrete fragment from a concrete test specimen or structure. The insert is either cast into the fresh concrete or installed in hardened concrete.
ASTM C942 This test method covers the determination of the compressive strength of hydraulic cement grout for preplaced-aggregate (PA) concrete.
ASTM C947 This test method covers determination of the flexural ultimate strength in bending and the yield strength of glass-fiber reinforced concrete sections by the use of a simple beam of 1.0 in. (25.4 mm) or less in depth using third-point loading.
ASTM D1037 This test method for evaluating the properties of wood-base fibre and partical panel material. Tensile Strength Parallel to Surface (21-27) Tensile Strength Perpendicular to Surface (28-33) Compression Strength Parallel to Surface (34-40) Other sections include testing on various types of fastners.
ASTM D1074 This test method provides a method for measuring the compressive strength of compacted bituminous mixtures. It is for use with specimens weighed, batched, mixed, and fabricated in the laboratory, as well as for mixtures manufactured in a hot-mix plant.
ASTM D1075 This test method covers measurement of the loss of compressive strength resulting from the action of water on compacted bituminous mixtures containing asphalt cement. A numerical index of reduced compressive strength is obtained by comparing the compressive strength of freshly molded and cured specimens with the compressive strength of duplicate specimens that have been immersed in water under prescribed conditions.
ASTM D1101 These test methods cover an accelerated means of measuring the resistance to delamination of structural laminated wood members intended for exterior service.

ASTM D143 These methods cover the determination of various strength and related properties of wood by testing small clear specimens.
ASTM D1761 These test methods provide a basic procedure for evaluating the resistance of wood and wood-base materials to direct withdrawal of nails, staples, and screws. Spikes are included as nails in this standard.
ASTM D2105 This test method covers the determination of the comparative longitudinal tensile properties of fiberglass pipe when tested under defined conditions of pretreatment, temperature, and testing machine speed. Both glass-fiber-reinforced thermosetting-resin pipe (RTRP) and glass-fiber-reinforced polymer mortar pipe (RPMP) are fiberglass pipes.
ASTM D2344 This test method determines the short-beam strength of high-modulus fiber-reinforced composite materials. The specimen is a short beam machined from a curved or a flat laminate up to 6.00 mm [0.25 in.] thick. The beam is loaded in three-point bending.
ASTM D2523 This practice is a guide for determining the load-strain properties of roofing membranes and their components at various temperatures. Test specimens may be prepared in the laboratory or cut from samples obtained in the field.
ASTM D3039 This test method determines the in-plane tensile properties of polymer matrix composite materials reinforced by high-modulus fibers. The composite material forms are limited to continuous fiber or discontinuous fiber-reinforced composites in which the laminate is balanced and symmetric with respect to the test direction.
ASTM D3043 These test methods determine the flexural properties of strips cut from structural panels or panels up to 4 by 8 ft in size. Structural panels in use include plywood, waferboard, oriented strand board, and composites of veneer and of wood-based layers.
ASTM D3044 This test method covers determination of the shear modulus of wood-based structural panels associated with shear distortion in the plane of the panels. The method is applicable to all types of wood-based structural panels. The grain direction or orientation of the individual plies, laminations, or layers shall be parallel or perpendicular to the edge of the test specimen.
ASTM D3479 This test method determines the fatigue behavior of polymer matrix composite materials subjected to tensile cyclic loading.

The test method covers both T-peel and lap-shear joints subjected to constant tensile load under controlled environmental conditions.
ASTM D5602 This test method covers evaluation of the maximum static puncture load that roofing membrane samples can withstand without allowing the passage of water.
ASTM D5651 This test method is a measure of the cohesive bond strength of the fibers, or particles, on the surface of wood-base fiber and particle panels (for example, particleboard and medium-density fiberboard) in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the panel.
ASTM D5652 These test methods cover procedures for evaluating the strength and stiffness of single-bolted connections in wood or wood-base products when subjected to static loading.

ASTM D6109 These test methods are suitable for determining the flexural properties for any solid or hollow manufactured plastic lumber product of square, rectangular, round, or other geometric cross section that shows viscoelastic behavior.
ASTM D6112 These test methods cover the determination of the creep and creep-rupture properties of plastic lumber and shapes, when loaded in compression or flexure under specified environmental conditions.
