SCF complexes, formed by SKP1, cullin and F-box proteins act as protein-ubiquitin ligases and mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. FBXO33 probably recognizes and binds to phosphorylated target proteins. Function: Substrate recognition component of a (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins.
